During the talks between Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Sauli Niinisto, the most crucial topic was strengthening the defence of Ukraine during the Russian war. Further, the parties discussed current EU sanctions against Russia and the design of new multifaceted ones.
"We must all remember: the harder we put pressure on the aggressor, the sooner the aggression will end. I believe that this year will be decisive for our victory," Volodymyr Zelenskyy said during a press conference with Sauli Niinisto.
Negotiations were also held with the PM of Finland, Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Iceland. The negotiators discussed the comprehensive defence support for Ukraine, as well as the Euro Aspirations of our country. One of the topics was also the defence guarantees of Ukraine before its entry into NATO.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy thanked each negotiator for a reliable shoulder during our struggle for freedom and pan-European democratic values.
