“Rheinmetall” Sends “Luna NG” Drones to Ukraine

The website of the German concern reported the conclusion of the agreement for several million euros

The complex Luna New Generation will begin working for the benefit of the Ukrainian Armed Forces by the end of 2023. The German company Rheinmetall has already confirmed the transfer of the reconnaissance drones.

"The UAV package consists of a ground control station with several drones, a launch catapult and military trucks," said the German concern.

Luna NG is one of the newest systems that will be in Ukraine. UAVs can be in the air for up to 12 hours and cover a distance of at least 100 km. The unmanned aerial vehicle is launched from a catapult that can be installed anywhere. But the German drone is also capable of providing a 4G network, intercepting enemy signals and jamming communications. Luna New Generation will help the defenders of Ukraine to detect and recognise the type of object and its classification in real time.

Unmanned aerial vehicles play an important role in modern warfare. They provide important information and strike the enemy, which is especially important for Ukraine since our army size is inferior to that of the aggressor country Russia.
