Russia Confirmed Attack on the Port of Odesa

Yesterday Russia denied the strike, and today it called it a "strike on a military target"

Less than a day after the signing of an agreement on the security of exports from Ukrainian ports, Russia fired the port of Odesa. Thus, Russia broke the promise officially signed in front of Turkey and the UN.

|EU strongly condemns Russian missile strike on Odesa’s seaport. Striking a target crucial for grain export a day after the signature of Istanbul agreements is particularly reprehensible & again demonstrates Russia’s total disregard for international law & commitments," Josep Borrell.

"Outrageous. Russia strikes the port city of Odesa less than 24 hours after signing an agreement to allow shipments of agricultural exports. The Kremlin continues to weaponize food. Russia must be held to account," the ambassador of the USA to Ukraine Bridget Brink.

Russia, as expected, denied its involvement in the explosion of part of the port and the victims. Turkish defence minister Hulusi Akar also confirmed that Russia claims it has nothing to do with the missile attack on the Odesa port. Today, however, propagandist Yevgeny Popov, probably unaware of the Kremlin's line of lies, confirmed the missile attack.

"We attacked the military infrastructure in the port of Odesa. And you know the names of the missiles well. These are Harpoon missiles. They were based in Odesa, and we destroyed them... We did not violate the Istanbul agreement. We simply destroyed the military infrastructure of Ukraine — and we will do it again," Popov.

Today, Duma speaker Maria Zakharova also confirmed the information about the strike. And she also stated that the strike was carried out on a military facility. What is noteworthy: if Popov said that Harpoon missiles were used during the shelling, then Zakharova stated that it was a Kalibr missile.

"Kalibr missiles destroyed a military infrastructure facility, sending a Ukrainian military boat to the address beloved by the Kyiv regime with a high-precision strike," speaker Zakharova.

I would like to end this article with the comments of Pentagon adviser Paul Massaro regarding the Russian missile attack on Odesa.

"An agreement with Russia is worse than nothing." "Russia always lies."
