On July 2, a representative of the Russian parliament, Grigory Karasin, wrote on his Telegram channel that there are 700.000 Ukrainian children in Russia who were taken out of the zones of military conflict. It is reported by
"In recent years, 700.000 children have found shelter with us, fleeing bombing and shelling from the conflict zones in Ukraine," Euractiv quotes Grigory Karasin.
Of course, Karasin wrote that these children are orphans who were brought to Russia to save them from war and starvation. However, this is a hazardous lie: these children have families in Ukraine and were abducted and taken to Russia against their will. Ukraine, the United States and the OSCE prove that the children were deported illegally and forcibly. PACE recognised the forced deportation of Ukrainian children to Russia as genocide, and the Hague court issued a guarantee of arrest for Lvova-Belova, a Russian official responsible for kidnapping children and placing them for adoption in Russian families.
"International and Ukrainian actors and several media outlets report that the Russian occupation authorities have deported Ukrainian children – sent away for ideological screening". Some argue that these actions were pre-planned and part of a broader and coordinated Russian effort to annihilate the Ukrainian identity of the young generation," Euractiv.
UNCHR reports that there are more than 2.8 million deported Ukrainians in Russia and another 22.000 in collaborating country Belarus.
