Russia Lost in Ukraine More Than in Afghanistan

The Russian Federation lost more soldiers in 3 months of the war in Ukraine than in 9 years of conflict in Afghanistan

After the Russian soldiers crossed the border into Ukraine and began killing civilians, the official counting of personnel losses began. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine daily publishes information on the losses of the occupiers. On May 22, the number of Russians killed in Russia’s war against Ukraine was 29.250. The Agency reports that in the last 24 hours alone, the Ukrainian military eliminated 200 occupants. In turn, the Russian Federation does not recognize half of the registered deaths.

But an independent source, British intelligence, confirms that the offensive side suffers heavy casualties. The British Ministry of defense is also preparing daily reports on casualties. According to them, the Russian authorities lost more than 29 thousand soldiers. This shows the weakness of the "second army of the world". Because from 1979 to 1989, the Soviet Union, fighting in Afghanistan, suffered as many casualties as Russia suffered in Ukraine in just 3 months.

Already now the Russian Federation has set a world record for the losses of the invading army. Experts further claim that Russians will be dissatisfied with the war's outcome. Because the more victims and losses the aggressor country suffers, the more difficult it will be for Putin to keep silent and hide his losses. The failure of the "second army", the dead sons and husbands of Russian women, will be a reason for dissatisfaction with the war.
