The military authorities in Kherson have reported a severe escalation in Russian military aggression within a 24-hour period, culminating in 119 attacks and the deployment of 638 weapons. This extensive offensive utilized a range of ground and air-based weaponry, including UAVs.
During these attacks, both daytime and overnight, the Kherson region witnessed tragic human losses. A minimum of three individuals were killed and 11 others injured, with two children among the casualties. The President Zelensky’s office has highlighted that the area of Chornobayivka was particularly targeted with cluster munitions.
Oleksandr Prokudin, who leads the Kherson regional military administration (OVA), shared through his Telegram channel the grim details of the Russian offensive. According to his report, the region endured 119 attacks, with a staggering total of 638 weapons used. These included mortars, artillery, Grads, tanks, automatic grenade launchers, UAVs, and aircraft.
The attacks, recorded from 6 a.m. on November 23 to 6 a.m. on November 24, inflicted significant damage and human suffering. “Due to Russian aggression, three people lost their lives, and 11 others sustained injuries, including two children,” Prokudin stated.
The Russian military's strategy notably involved targeting residential areas within the region, with a significant focus on the city of Kherson, where 91 weapons were used.
In a disturbing development, Prokudin reported that the children’s library in Kherson was struck by Russian forces at six in the morning on the same day. This act marks a concerning escalation in the targeting of civilian infrastructure in the ongoing conflict.
