Saudi Arabia to Give Ukraine $400 Mln War-Related Aid

On 14 October the president of Ukraine and the crown prince of Saudi Arabia held a call

On 14 October, the president of Ukraine held a telephone conversation with the crown prince and prime minister, Muhammed bin Salman. The Saudi state news agency announced this SPA. Volodymyr Zelenskyy also summarised the conversation and thanked the crown prince for his support at the UN and the daily schedule.

We know that the heads of state have agreed to continue the campaign against war crimes. The head of Saudi Arabia is prepared to continue mediation efforts for the exchange of prisoners. Also, Muhammed bin Salman announced his intention to allocate $400 million of aid to Ukraine. It is noted that this amount will be earmarked for humanitarian support to the country. Foreign news agency SPA reports that humanitarian aid will help alleviate Ukrainian citizens' suffering in the wake of the crisis.

However, it is worth noting that Saudi Arabia is not ready to accept introducing an extreme price point for Russian oil. The country rejects this option, fearing such price restrictions will affect it.
