Dual education will begin at two faculties of Ivan Franko LNU: the faculty of electronics and computer technologies and the faculty of applied mathematics (Computer Science program).
Curriculum — updated. SoftServe IT specialists worked together with the university lecturers to develop it.
In the first two courses, students will study technologies and programming languages, develop their soft skills: learn to work in teams, and pitch their ideas. Lectures and workshops will be conducted, among other things, by SoftServe experts — programmers, projects, business analysts, heads of technical teams.
In the 3rd and 4th years, the theory will be studied at the university, and the practical part - at SoftServe.
In the company, students will be able to join the work on real projects. When asked by the editorial staff of AIN.UA about whether the work of students will be paid, the company answered in the affirmative.
Each student will also be able to choose additional technical courses from SoftServe experts.
Graduates who have completed the dual bachelor's degree leave the university as middle specialists. According to SoftServe, the company also guarantees them employment.
Enrollment for both programs starts on July 14 and will last until July 23. The introductory procedure is standard.
It is not yet clear whether students will be paid for the work of this program. AIN.UA is awaiting SoftServe's comment on this.
Dual bachelor's programs of SoftServe and LNU are not the first in Ukraine. Earlier, the same format for students of 2-5 courses was launched by the Kyiv-Mohyla Academy together with the IT company S-PRO.
