Sullivan: The US is Preparing a New “Substantial” Aid Package for Ukraine

The United States is planning to deliver a “substantial aid package” to Ukraine by the end of September

This announcement was made by White House National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan at the Yalta European Strategy (YES) annual conference in Kyiv, as reported by Bloomberg.

"We are currently working on a significant package that combines a number of different capabilities that we will try to implement by the end of this month," Sullivan stated.

Ukraine has been urging for more air defense systems, and according to Sullivan, the U.S. is currently in the process of acquiring these systems from its partners. Additionally, the U.S. aims to provide Ukraine with tools to enhance the protection of its energy infrastructure.

Sullivan emphasized that the U.S. has made it a priority to assist in the protection of Ukraine's nuclear power plants.

The latest aid package from the U.S. was announced on September 11, which included $700 million for humanitarian and energy assistance. This new package aims to further bolster Ukraine’s defense and infrastructure resilience.
