It is planned to attract €1 million from the Eastern European Partnership for investing-in-ukraine/business-opportunities/energy/" rel="dofollow">Energy Efficiency and the Environment (“E5P”) to implement the international financing agreement for energy efficiency measures. As well as raising €1 million to partially fund subprojects related to energy efficiency measures in hospitals.
"Thanks to the signing of these agreements, Ukraine will be provided with technical assistance to implement the loan program of the European Investment Bank to finance energy efficiency measures in public buildings. In particular, it is a question of thermal modernization of about 1000 public buildings in Ukraine. These are state and municipal kindergartens, schools, administrative buildings, social and cultural facilities, as well as health care facilities," said Oleksii Chernyshov, minister of development of communities and territories of Ukraine.
It will be recalled that in July 2021, the government of Ukraine ratified an agreement with the EIB on a loan of €300 million for the implementation of the project Energy efficiency of public buildings in Ukraine.
