UN Global Compact Ukraine opens nominations for sustainability partnership award

The campaign highlights measurable business projects with public and civic partners in ESG, recovery and social impact

UN Global Compact Ukraine has opened nominations for the Partnership for Sustainability Award, a campaign that recognizes projects built by business together with public, civic and educational partners. The award focuses on practical results rather than declarations.

The initiative matters because sustainability in Ukraine is no longer a separate corporate image topic. During wartime and recovery, ESG projects often intersect with community resilience, veterans, education, environmental protection, digital transformation and economic stability.

Partnership becomes the main criterion

The award is designed for projects where business does not act alone. Participants are expected to show cooperation with at least one partner and to demonstrate that the project has already produced results or is being implemented in a measurable way.

Categories cover environmental solutions, social impact, responsible governance, recovery of Ukraine, support for veterans, education, economic resilience, digital transformation, culture, media and change leadership. Results are planned for December, while the nomination window gives companies time to prepare evidence and explain impact.

For business, the award is useful not only as recognition. It creates a benchmark for mature partnerships: clear goals, transparent roles, measurable outcomes and continuity. In Ukraine’s recovery context, these qualities are becoming as important as the amount of resources invested.
