Sweden Allocates Funds for the Restoration of Ukraine’s Energy Sector

Sweden has announced a new aid package aimed at increasing Ukraine’s power generation and transmission capacity

The Embassy of Sweden in Ukraine reported that the support package amounts to 650 million Swedish kroner (about 57 million euros).

From this package, 500 million kroner will be directed through the Energy Community Fund of Ukraine, and another 150 million kroner through UNDP Ukraine.

The aid will ensure the supply of energy to critical infrastructure facilities and other institutions so that Ukrainian schools, hospitals, transport, water supply, and industry can function properly.
