Sweden Is Going to Repair Ukrainian Military Equipment

The MoD announced the launch of a repair and logistics hub near the Ukrainian border

The Ministry of defense of Sweden announced its participation in the repair of equipment that was previously transferred to Ukraine for the reconquest of its territories. It is reported that the state allocates 60 experts to be sent to one of the repair and engineering corps for equipment damaged in the war. One of these centres is located in Poland, and it is likely that the Swedish experts will be sent there. This logistics and repair hub will service equipment that Sweden previously provided to Ukraine: 50 units of CV-90 combat vehicles, Leopards, Archer and Robot 70 self-propelled guns.

"Of course, it is important that the defence equipment we send can also be used and achieve an operational effect," Swedish defence minister Paul Jonsson.

The activities of the first hubs will start already this fall, and in addition to repairs, Swedish engineers will train Ukrainian military engineers so that in the future, they can repair non-critical damage to equipment right on the battlefield. It is expected that, over time, Sweden will also provide Ukraine with additional spare parts for military equipment.
