The Swiss Federal Council decided to join the 9th package of EU sanctions in response to Russia's war against Ukraine. In particular, Bern announced the entry into force of restrictive measures on trade and logistics of Russian crude oil and petroleum products sold above the threshold price.
On December 2, the G7 and the European Union set a cap on Russian crude oil at $60 per barrel. On December 8, the Federal department of economic affairs, education and research of Switzerland adopted amendments to the decree on measures regarding the war in Ukraine. Also, 2 Russian citizens and 2 Iranian companies were included in the Swiss sanctions list for their assistance in transferring Shaheds to Russia.
We remind you that Switzerland is a neutral country and does not transfer weapons to states where is a war.
