The UN Global Compact Network annually holds the competition in Ukraine to celebrate the best practices for sustainable business and public sector development.
The holding received an award for the social project Get well faster! This is a comprehensive project helping to overcome childhood cancer in Ukraine. TECHIIA project provides hospitals with modern equipment and finances for the Eva Inclusion and correction center.
TECHIIA plans to continue developing and, in 2022, implement even more invest.com/investing-in-ukraine/starting-business-in-ukraine/start-a-project/" rel="dofollow">projects within the UN Sustainable Development Goals framework.
Other winning projects
In the society category this year 22 projects from Ukraine, Croatia, Belarus, Georgia and Turkey competed for the victory. Together with TECHIIA, the Ukrainian public union Osvitoriya and Ukrsibbank received success.
Osvitoria is a public union whose goal is to develop and reform education in Ukraine. They strive to raise modern Ukrainian education to the international level, to combine the best domestic teaching traditions with global innovations.
Ukrsibbank also won a society nomination. The bank was awarded for implementing the Seeing the Invisible project within the framework of the World to Touch charity program and providing children and other visually impaired with modern books. Thus, 500 copies of the book Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets by J. Rowling have been published in braille. The publication was distributed among 25 libraries and educational institutions for children with visual impairments. Additionally, the bank financed audio descriptions for the film of the same name, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. The children were able to reproduce the video's plot through audio descriptions.
