The Italian government decided to again provide Ukraine with military assistance in the fight against the Russian invaders. Therefore, according to the newspaper la Repubblica, Italian politicians in a recent decree approved the transfer to Ukraine of 20 to 30 self-propelled artillery units M109L. The American installation is protected from small arms fire and field artillery fragments. Attack with the M109L requires a team of 6 people. This weapon is supplied to Ukraine as part of the fifth military aid package.
Earlier, Italy transferred the MLRS system, PzH 2000 howitzers, M113 armoured personnel carriers, and Lince armoured personnel carriers to fight the Russian aggressor.
Ukraine is grateful for such support. All equipment is used for one purpose — victory. For example, Linche uses assault units in the Kherson and Zaporizhia regions. The newspaper la Repubblica also reports that everyone is waiting for the final decision on the support of Ukraine from the new head of the Italian government, Giorgia Meloni.
