The Baltic States Withdraw the Agreement on Electricity Supply From Russia

Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia stop importing energy from the country that sponsors terrorism

Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia plan to separate from the Russian energy system in February 2025. Also, in the summer of next year, the countries will withdraw from the BRELL agreement concluded with the participation of Russia and Belarus.

Today, the Baltic countries, the aggressor country and the collaborator country cooperate on the basis of a joint agreement on energy supply, which is managed from the Kremlin. Last May, Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia stopped buying electricity from Russia. After the approval of the agreement between the Estonian Elering, the Latvian AST and the Lithuanian Litgrid, these 3 countries will be completely disconnected from the electricity system of Russia. This will happen in the coming days.
