The Beginning of the Offensive Operation in the East of Ukraine

The general staff of the Security Service of Ukraine has recorded signs of the start of an offensive operation in the eastern operational zone.

In Slobozhansky and Donetsk operational areas, the aggressor intensified offensive and assault operations in certain regions. It is expected to continue attempts to advance in the directions of Izyum - Sloviansk - Barvenkovo. The goals of Russia include the occupation of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions and the retention of control over the temporarily occupied territories.

According to Oleksiy Arestovich, the Russians plan to advance tactically from Izyum towards Sloviansk. The offensive began on April 17, and now there is a powerful artillery shelling. The most serious and combat-ready grouping of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is currently serving in eastern Ukraine. In the Kherson and Kharkiv directions, the Armed Forces of Ukraine are conducting a tactical offensive.

Russian channels are already boasting to Russians about their “achievements” in the east. Russia dropped super-heavy bombs on the Azovstal plant and hundreds of Mariupol civilians hiding in the plant's basement from the war. There is no information yet regarding casualties.
