In total, from January to August 2021, 5801 units of investing-in-ukraine/business-opportunities/automotive/" rel="dofollow">vehicles were produced in Ukraine, which is 2.6 times more than in the same period last year: cars — 5326 (+ 193%); commercial transport — 20 (-29%); buses — 455 (+ 16%).
Production of special equipment
In Ukraine, an increase in demand is expected for body superstructures (dump trucks, vans for emergency recovery equipment and rotational vehicles), new ambulances, cargo-passenger, and onboard vehicles based on light commercial vehicles.
Therefore, equipment for servicing the construction of new roads and repairing existing ones will be popular in 2021. If there are no political or macroeconomic shocks, the commercial vehicle market can expect 10% growth.
Cars production in Ukraine 2021
There is no full-scale production of passenger cars in Ukraine, but there is a large-scale assembly, after which the vehicle receives a Ukrainian VIN code and is legally considered assembled in our country. Trucks are also rarely produced in Ukraine. But quite a lot of manufacturers are engaged in the production of buses and trolleybuses. However, the most ramified production is special equipment. These are transport for public utilities, the military, re-equipment into ambulances, bank and fire trucks.
Note that four brands are currently being assembled in Ukraine — KIA, Renault, LADA, Skoda.
- Kia produces the Rio Sedan and the Rio X in Ukraine;
- Renault produces the Arkana crossover;
- The Ukrainian-assembled Lada lineup is represented by four cars. These are the Granta and Vesta sedans, the Largus passenger station wagon, the XRay crossover hatchback and the Vesta SW cross station wagon;
- Skoda also produces four models in Ukraine: the Fabia hatchback, the Karoq and Kodiaq crossovers, and the Skoda Superb.

Popularization of electric vehicles for 2021
The demand for electric vehicles in Ukraine has grown by a third. Sales of not only used but also new electric cars are increasing. In October, 897 electric vehicles were registered in Ukraine. Compared to the same period last year, there was an increase of 34.8%.
In just 10 months, Ukrainians have already bought about 7 thousand electric vehicles, which is 5% more than in the same period last year. In total, as of November 1, 31.817 electric cars were registered in Ukraine. Most of them are in Kyiv (6993 units), as well as Odesa (4602) and other regions of Kyiv (3656).
