At the same time, Jean-Erik De Zagon believes that there are many prospective sectors in Ukraine.
"Ukraine has one of the best soils in the world and this is a prerequisite for the growth of the food industry".
"But I think it's important for Ukraine to do more than just grains, for example — to move into more complex things. I think it could be organic products", — he believes.
Ukraine is ready to move towards environmentally friendly and organic products.
Among other things, he noted that investors should pay attention to the IT-industry, because it is quite strong in Ukraine.
Jean-Erik De Zagon also mentioned "green economy", transportation and energy among other prospects. He explained that the EIB is ready to assist the Ukrainian authorities in the development in this direction.
