The EU Will Restorate Mariupol

After the liberation of Ukrainian Mariupol from Russian occupation, the Europe Union will help rebuild the city

Ursula von der Leyen announced the decision of the European Union to take over the restoration of the post-war Mariupol. Without waiting for the de-occupation, a recovery plan is already being developed.

"Ukrainian Mariupol will help restore the European Union. They are already working on a plan for rebuilding the city after the de-occupation," Ursula von der Leyen.

The city's restoration will be carried out in the manner of the new European Bauhaus: an organic mix of eco-friendly methods and materials for the organization of living space. Moreover, the head of the European Commission recalled the decision to take under the responsibility of the EU assistance in the restoration of the entire Ukraine, and not just one city.

"We must do it, and we will do it because it is our moral duty," Ursula von der Leyen.

"We are not wasting time and are simultaneously working on a large-scale plan to revive Mariupol. The invaders showed the power of destruction, and with the support of all countries of the civilized world, we will show the power of development, unity, and solidarity. Mariupol, a hero city, an example of resilience and struggle, deserves to become a symbol of rebirth peace", mayor of Mariupol Vadym Boychenko.
