Congratulating the people of Ukraine on Europe Day, Matti Maasikas said that the EU absolutely supports Ukraine in its struggle for freedom, independence, and progressive values and will continue to support it until its victory over Russia.
This war is an attack not only on Ukraine but also on its pro-European position.
"Once Ukrainians stand up for European values of peace, freedom, dignity, democracy, and human rights, the EU supports you in your struggle. Weapons, funds, sanctions against the aggressor, humanitarian aid. And, perhaps most importantly, we are working on Ukraine's application to join the European Union," said Matti Maasikas.
Ukraine is part of the European family, which is why the European Union will not allow Russia to win.
