The First Day of the G7 Summit

On 26 June, the G7 discussed the economic dimension of the war initiated by Russia

Before the meeting of the G7 leaders, the four countries decided to impose an embargo on gold from Russia. This confirms that everyone understands that the current economic situation in the world is connected with Russia's attack on Ukraine. On Sunday, leaders from seven countries gathered to discuss the world economy. For the first time, policymakers were able to agree to mobilize investment and normalize the supply chain.

"All members of the G7 are concerned about the crisis we are currently facing," said Scholz, speaking about the economic problem.

Leaders also discussed climate change. It should be borne in mind that the Earth is already on the verge of a climatic disaster. And the Russian Federation, firing 50-60 missiles simultaneously at Ukraine, is approaching an environmental disaster daily.

The problem of the Russian-Ukrainian war was also considered more deeply during the first day of the meeting. All politicians agree that Putin violates all the laws of the civilized world.

The most serious step toward Ukraine was the draft resolution of the summit. According to it, the G7 leaders agreed to support Ukraine without delay. The countries will provide Ukraine with defense support for the time being.
