On February 6, 2022, Russian tanks were on the border of Ukraine to kill the population of Ukraine. On February 6, 2023, Canadian tanks are on the border of Ukraine to expel the invaders from Ukraine.
As part of the tank coalition, the Ministry of defence of Canada decided to transfer 4 Leopard 2 tanks to Ukraine. It was a difficult decision and Ukraine is very grateful to every Canadian who approved it.
"The first Canadian Leopard 2 main battle tank that we've donated to Ukraine has now arrived in Poland. Alongside our allies, we'll soon be training the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the use of this equipment. Canada will continue to #StandWithUkraine," Anita Anand.
In addition, Canada plans to purchase 1 NASAMS system and about 200 armoured cars for Ukraine.
