The press service of the president of Ukraine's office reported on the Bahrain minister's first visit to strengthen interstate relations. It should be noted that this event is significant for the 2 countries, it means the recognition of Ukraine's independence – because this is the first minister of Bahrain who arrived in Ukraine since the country's independence.
The parties talked about assistance at a stage when Ukraine is still suffering from the Russian war. Manama is currently providing humanitarian aid to Kyiv. Politicians also discussed the participation of the Kingdom of Bahrain in the further fate of Ukraine – the restoration of cities after the victory over the Russian Federation. Volodymyr Zelenskyy also invited the guest to consider the possibility of his country joining promising projects in the humanitarian and economic spheres.
In addition, the head of state and Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani discussed the Ukrainian formula for peace. From now on, Bahrain is officially invited to participate in the relevant diplomatic process and the upcoming Peace Summit.
Zelenskyy thanked the representative of the Kingdom of Bahrain for supporting the territorial integrity and sovereignty, especially now – against the background of Russia's full-scale military invasion of Ukraine. The head of state said that every step is essential, including the votes of the Middle East for the UN General Assembly resolutions in favour of Ukraine.
