The Government has Allocated $4 mln for the Subway

The cabinet of ministers has approved a plan for the use of funds for the Kyiv subway. $4 mln will be spent to correct the project of two subway lines

"Recall that over the past 10 years, the construction of new metro stations in Ukrainian cities has almost stopped. In total during the years of Independence 36 metro stations were built in the country, of which only 4 — in the period from 2011 to 2021. If we talk about Kyiv, the last subway station here was opened back in 2013 (Teremki)," — informs the Ministry.

"Now we are talking about invest.com/investing-in-ukraine/starting-business-in-ukraine/start-a-project/" rel="dofollow">projects approved back in the 2008-2012 period. During this time, in addition to the prices of materials, the city itself has changed. On an example of Podolsko-Voskresensky bridge we see how the delay of construction and deactivation of the project, even in conditions of chaotic development, can lead to disastrous consequences for the city", — says the head of the Ministry Alexander Kubrakov.

"Therefore, we supported the decision to make adjustments to the projects — and in the future, we are considering the option of launching a systematic state program for the development of the subway in Ukraine," — added Kubrakov.

Construction projects of the I line of Livoberezhna subway line Troyeshchina — Osokorki and the fourth branch of Podolsko-Vygurovskaya line from station "Vokzalna" to station "Raduzhna" with a branch in the direction of residential area Vygurovschina-Troyeshchina will be reconsidered.
