On March 31, the International Monetary Fund approved the Extended Fund Facility program for Ukraine in the amount of $15.6 billion (11.6 billion SDRs). On April 3, Ukraine confirmed the receipt of the first tranche of $2.7 billion (2 billion SDRs).
"Ukraine received the first tranche under the new program from the IMF. Thanks to the provided funds, we are able to continue to maintain economic stability in Ukraine, as well as ensure priority expenditures of the state budget," minister of finance Serhii Marchenko.
The EFF is designed for 4 years and provides for 2 levels of funding.
