On the morning of January 18, a State Emergency Service helicopter crashed in Brovary town, Kyiv region. The helicopter was carrying the minister of internal affairs, Denys Monastyrskyi, first deputy minister Yevhen Yenin and state secretary Yuriy Lubkovich. 9 people, including the minister, deputy minister and secretary of state, died.
The helicopter crashed near a kindergarten. 18 people died, 2 of them children. 26 people were taken to the hospital, 12 of them are children.
The circumstances of the crash are under investigation.
