For the second time during the full-scale Russian attack on Ukraine, the mayor of Paris, Anne Hidalgo, came to Kyiv. Today, she spoke before the sessional council of the capital and expressed support for Paris to the residents of the capital of freedom.
"Today, I walked through a city that stood. Kyiv resists. Like all of Ukraine. She resists, despite the cold, the bombing, despite the restrictions, mourning the dead. And we share that yearning with you as we honour them," Anne Hidalgo.
The mayor of France brought with her a gift for the people of Kyiv — 10 generators that will be used by the families who did not leave the city but remained to defend it.
We remind you that Paris declared Kyiv an honorary citizen of the capital of France.
