The government is focused on making institutional changes that will create conditions under which corruption will be impossible. This was emphasized by the prime minister during his speech
"The system of economic relations, which has long been formed in our country, slows down our development and reduces the chances of a Ukrainian economic miracle. It is an oligarchic system of relations that closely links the economy and politics," the head of government said.
Denys Shmygal stressed that for the team of the president and the government, this system of relations has nothing to do with building a successful state on a competitive basis. He added that the government supports the president's initiatives aimed at separating business and politics and creating equal opportunities.
The prime minister also voiced three vectors of institutional change for the success of anti-corruption reform: reducing the state's share in the economy, developing market relations and creating new competitive markets, and reforming fiscal and regulatory bodies.
