The New German Government Defends Ukraine’s Membership in the EU

The consequence is the strengthening of cooperation in the energy sector and assistance in preserving the territorial integrity of Ukraine

According to the coalition leaders, countries such as Moldova, Georgia, and Ukraine should move closer to the EU through successive reforms in economy and law.

"States such as Ukraine, Moldova, and Georgia, aspiring to EU membership, should be able to approach this result through consistent reforms in the rule of law and market economy," said in a statement of the coalition.

The government also describes the ambitious prospects of signing an energy agreement with Ukraine. They are convinced that together with Ukraine, they will achieve significant results in renewable energy, producing "green" hydrogen, energy efficiency, and reducing CO2 emissions.

"We are convinced that we and Ukraine will achieve significant results in terms of renewable energy, green hydrogen production, energy efficiency, and CO2 emissions reduction," was concluded.
