The Ukrainian association of automobile manufacturers Ukravtoprom reports that in May 2022, more than 1.000 electric cars were registered. Not as of May, but in 1 month.
"In May, the Ukrainian car fleet was replenished with 1.016 fully electric vehicles (BEVs). This result was better since the beginning of the year and 63% higher than a year ago," Ukravtoprom reports.
Not only the quantity but also the quality has increased. 28% of 1.016 cars are new. For example, in May last year, this share was 11%. Despite the war, Ukrainians continue to buy cars, and since the beginning of this year, 3.090 electric vehicles have been registered, 984 of which are passenger cars. The total rate of purchases of electric cars increased by 2.5% compared to last year.
