Draft Law 4236, defining the organizational and legal structure and status of science parks, their goals and objectives, was adopted on 27 April at a meeting of the Verkhovna Rada.
In contrast to the current procedure for the operation of science parks, with the adoption of the draft law, № 4236 SPs have the right to set the directions of their work without the approval of the State committee of scientific, technical and innovative development.
Science parks will be able to obtain premises for their activities on the premises of higher education institutions and investing-in-ukraine/service-for-investors/business-consultant/" rel="dofollow">research centers under the conditions of State-sponsored institutions.
Foreign and private institutions of higher education will be able to form the authorized capital of their scientific parks and by the method of intangible and tangible assets.
Refundable financial assistance, loans and grants will be included in the list of funding sources for science parks.
