The Kyiv regional military administration reported on the visit of Guatemalan president Alejando Giammatte to Ukraine. First of all, the president visited the cities of the Kyiv region, which had been under Russian occupation for more than a month — Bucha, Irpin and Borodianka.
"Borodianka, Bucha, Irpin — these settlements have also become a tragic symbol of the atrocities of the Russian army against Ukrainian civilians. The president of Guatemala expressed his support for Ukraine and emphasised that the whole world should know about Russia's crimes. We are grateful to Mr. Giammatte for his attention in the Kyiv region. Official visits of international partners is an important component in the war that continues in the information field," Kyiv regional military administration.
After a tour of these cities, Alejando Giammatte will meet with Volodymyr Zelenskyy, after which the presidents will hold a joint press conference.
We remind you that since last week, a mutual visa-free regime has been in effect between Ukraine and Guatemala.
