The President of Slovenia arrived in Kyiv

On June 28, Slovenia’s President, Natasha Pirc Musar, visited Kyiv to commemorate Ukraine’s Constitution Day alongside President Volodymyr Zelenskyi

The visit included solemn ceremonies honoring Ukrainian defenders who sacrificed their lives for the country. Together, they laid wreaths at the Wall of Memory of the Fallen for Ukraine on Mykhailivska Square in Kyiv, with military honors and the sound of trumpets marking the occasion.

President Zelenskyi emphasized Ukraine's enduring gratitude to all who have laid down their lives in defense of the nation, underscoring their profound impact on Ukraine's national identity and resilience.

During her visit, President Pirc Musar confirmed that Slovenia and Ukraine would sign an agreement on security guarantees. This agreement, developed in collaboration between the defense and foreign ministries of both countries, signifies Slovenia's commitment to continue supporting Ukraine for as long as needed. Importantly, while this agreement expresses political will and solidarity, it is not a legally binding international treaty.

Slovenia's gesture of solidarity through this agreement underscores its support for Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity amid ongoing challenges.
