The president of Ukraine, Zelenskyy, reported this. He thanked the friendly country for its support during the war and paid tribute to the prime minister of Macedonia, Dimitar Kovacevski.
The signing of the G7 document means support for Ukraine during the war and reconstruction after its end. The declaration with security guarantees for Ukraine, adopted at the NATO summit in Vilnius this summer, includes the types of support:
- Military;
- Economic;
- Reconstruction and rehabilitation, etc.
Thus, North Macedonia has become the 15th country with which Ukraine has signed the treaty. Recall that security guarantees are a framework. This means that Ukraine is signing a separate treaty with each country wishing to join the G7 declaration.
Also, Greece, Estonia, Lithuania, and Latvia joined the security guarantees in the last week. The United States of America and the United Kingdom may also soon accede to security assurances. Negotiations have already begun.
