According to foreign minister Dmytro Kuleba, the Crimean platform's second summit will occur tomorrow. Due to the war, the summit will be held online, however, it is further developing into a consultative and coordinating mechanism to enforce the annexation and return Crimea to the world agenda.
"This year's summit will positively surprise the number of participants and the global geography and level of representation," Dmytro Kuleba.
Asia, Africa and Latin America were underrepresented at the 2021 summit. Therefore, this year Africa and the other side of the Atlantic will take part along with the Euro-Atlantic space and the G7. Today, 60 states (40 of them at the level of presidents and prime ministers) and international organizations have confirmed their participation.
"Russian aggression demonstrates how acute the issue of completing the occupation of Crimea is. After all, Russia is using the enthusiastic peninsula as a military base for its aggression and destabilization of the world. The return of Crimea under the control of Ukraine guarantees the security of the entire Black Sea region, Europe and the world," minister Kuleba.
The Crimean platform was created with the prospect of growing into an international consultative and coordinating body for the return of Crimea home — to Ukraine.
We remind you that last week an advisory body on the de-occupation and reintegration of Crimea was organized in Ukraine.
