On August 30, a meeting of the Joint commission was held with the participation of the Ministry of communities, territories and infrastructure development of Ukraine and the Ministry of transport of Norway. As a result of the meeting, the parties signed a protocol on permitting bilateral freight and transit transportation between Ukraine and Norway without a special permit document. The protocol applies to the transport of ecological class Euro-5 and above. The document for entry into the territory of Norway is a certificate confirming the environmental friendliness of the truck. Special conditions will be valid from September 1, 2023 to June 30, 2024 with the possibility of extension.
At the same time, for transport below Euro-5, remains possible to make cargo trips over the next 12 months. Ukrainian trucks can get 250 permits for Norway and 50 for other countries.
Now, Ukrainian cargo transportation can be carried out on the terms of a transport visa to the territory of 36 states, 27 of which are in the EU. Earlier this month, Ukraine signed a similar deal with North Macedonia and a list of liberalisations with Azerbaijan.
