The ambassador of Turkey declared the readiness of Turkey to participate in the post-war reconstruction of the Kharkiv region

During the meeting of the deputy head of the office of president Kyrylo Tymoshenko with the ambassador of Turkey in Ukraine Yagmur Ahmet Guldere, the representatives of the countries discussed the post-war reconstruction of Ukraine and the participation of Turkey in this process.

As confirmed by ambassador Guldere, Kharkiv became the hometown of many Turkish. Therefore, Turkey will gladly take part in reconstructing the city and the entire Kharkiv region. In addition, according to Yagmur Ahmet Guldere, his government is considering options for the reconstruction of individual objects in other regions of Ukraine. Guldere said that the first step for the return of children in the region could be the purchase of modular houses like those that Poland gave to Lviv.

"The diplomat added that at the international conference in Lugano, he saw the presentation of the Recovery Plan of Ukraine. He reminded that Turkish companies have considerable experience of working in our country and are ready to participate not only in local projects in the Kharkiv region, but also in the implementation of the national reconstruction plan," president of Ukraine official site.

"What do we want to do in the Kharkiv region first? We need to restore private and apartment buildings because we want people to return, because this will have a positive effect on the region's economy. We must provide housing. We must restore schools because children must go to school, restore kindergartens, medical institutions," Kyrylo Tymoshenko.

Estimated losses of the Kharkiv region as of today: 2.589 residential high-rise buildings, more than 3.000 private houses, 120 schools, 109 kindergartens, 45 hospitals and 294 network facilities.
