On December 24, the Emirates news agency WAM published data on the humanitarian aid provided by Ukraine from the United Arab Emirates to Ukrainians. According to WAM, the state will provide about 2.500 generators with a capacity of 3.5 to 8 kW for civilians who are now in Ukraine. This assistance will help Ukrainians survive the winter and protect families who are in critical situations.
"This aid to Ukraine stems from the UAE's belief in the importance of human solidarity, especially in cases of conflict, and is part of the country's continuous efforts to mitigate the humanitarian repercussions of the Ukrainian crisis," Ibrahim Al Hashemy, minister of state for international cooperation.
The generators will be donated as part of a $100 million humanitarian package. Since the beginning of the war, the UAE has sent 8 helicopters of food, medicine and ambulances to Ukraine for Ukrainian refugees in Poland, Moldova and Bulgaria.
