“Uklon” Starts Working in Moldova

On December 6, 2021, the Ukrainian online taxi service "Uklon" began operating in Chisinau (Moldova)

Uklon On the Moldovan market

The company continues to increase the number of Uklon drivers in Moldova. Like Ukrainian riders, they work through the Uklon app, where, among other things, users can filter orders by direction, cost, car class and see the final point of the route.

Residents of Chisinau received a localized application Uklon, which works by analogy with the Ukrainian one. With its help, you can order a car by choosing a class and a payment method. Other features include:

  • Tracking your trip online;
  • Viewing the final price without additional payments;
  • Increasing or decreasing the price of your trip.

The CEO of Uklon said that the launch in Moldova is a test expansion. The company plans to scale in other countries as well.

The company noted that the main competitor on the Moldovan market is the taxi call service Yandex.

From startup to the successful company

Uklon is a Ukrainian online transportation service founded in 2009 in Kyiv. The idea of creating the service came from Vitaly Dyatlenko, then a young student of the Kyiv-Mohyla academy. The development of the service began at the end of 2009, and on March 25, 2010, the first order was placed through Uklon.

Currently, Uklon is a profitable company. In addition to the capital of Ukraine — Kyiv, cars can be called in the Dnieper, Odesa and 24 other cities of Ukraine. The service has more than 1.500 corporate clients. The number of employees is 400 people, 100 of whom work in the IT department.

In 2015, Uklon controlled a third of the tax rate in the Ukrainian market and confidently competed with the classic taxi services.
