Ukraine Adapts the Customs Code to the Norms of the European Union

9 June 2021 the government of Ukraine passed a bill halving the cost of duty-free imports

From now on, the cost of importation for natural persons will be:

  • from € 1,000 to € 430 for airports and seaports;
  • from € 500 to € 300 for other crossing points.

The bill provides for tax exemption for companies and investors who move their business to Ukraine or plan to open a new business there.

Equipment for research not related to a private entrepreneur is exempted from customs duty.

"The Government is continuing to adapt the Customs Code to the procedures defined by the Association Agreement with the EU", said the Prime Minister of Ukraine, Denys Shmyhal.
