Ukraine and Japan Signed a Memorandum of Understanding

Hyogo prefecture in Japan and the Ivano-Frankivsk region in Ukraine will jointly restore the health of Ukrainians maimed and crippled by the war

On 14 August, a memorandum was signed within the framework of the regional office for international cooperation. The meeting of Ivano-Frankivsk regional military administration chief Svitlana Onischuk and the governor of Hyogo prefecture in Japan Motohiko Saito was held online. But even at a great distance, the representative of Japan, Saito, expressed great support for Ukraine and sorrow for all who suffer from Russian military aggression. The politician shared about injuries and consequences in Japanese cities due to emergencies in the country. Sioto expressed hope that the signed declaration on cooperation and the experience of Japan will help in the recovery of Ukraine.

Within the framework of the agreement, representatives of Hyogo and Ivano-Frankivsk regions will develop the areas of prosthetics and moral assistance. Japan is ready to train specialists in rehabilitation and prosthetics.

"When Ukraine is going through difficult times, the partners from Japan are ready to lend a hand of support and help with the recovery because in their time they themselves successfully coped. In the future, opportunities for student exchange and cooperation in the development of culture and art are considered," summed up the meeting Svitlana Onischuk.
