Ukraine and Latvia to Boost UAV Production and Joint Development Projects, Says Defense Minister Umerov

Ukraine’s Minister of Defense, Rustem Umerov, has announced that Ukraine and Latvia are set to increase their production of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) and will collaborate on joint development projects in this domain.

In his statement, Umerov expressed gratitude towards Latvia for its proactive role in the development of a drone coalition. "We will enhance UAV production and embark on joint ventures in this field. Together, we will surmount all challenges!" he declared.

Umerov also briefed the Latvian representatives on the current frontline situation in Ukraine, focusing on the utilization of Electronic Warfare (EW) and UAVs. This initiative marks a significant step in defense collaboration between Ukraine and Latvia, reflecting a shared commitment to advancing technological capabilities in the realm of unmanned aerial systems.
