Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov held a meeting with the United Kingdom's Defense Secretary to discuss further steps in supporting the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The meeting focused on expanding military aid and strengthening defense cooperation between the two nations.
Minister Umerov shared details of the meeting on his official Facebook page, highlighting discussions on the supply of ammunition—including artillery and mortar shells—air defense equipment, and anti-tank mines. These resources aim to enhance the effectiveness of Ukraine's military operations.
The United Kingdom continues to provide timely military support to Ukraine. Notably, new AS-90 self-propelled artillery systems are expected to be deployed on the front lines by the end of the year.
In addition, the UK Defense Secretary reported on upcoming supplies of long-range weapons and robotic systems that are anticipated to significantly impact combat operations. The two ministers also discussed the training and equipping of Ukrainian strategic reserve brigades.
