The Ministries of energy of Ukraine and the United States, the Net Zero World project and USAID have decided to work together on the development of carbon-free and sustainable energy in Ukraine.
"Ukraine is committed to wider use of carbon-neutral energy sources. That is why we intend to gradually abandon coal in the production of electricity, as well as reduce the consumption of natural gas, relying only on our extraction and biogas production," deputy minister of energy of Ukraine Yaroslav Demchenkov.
The program will embody the potential of small modular reactors and the construction of electricity transmission infrastructure. The destruction of the old energy infrastructure, a large number of gas storages and materials for the production of bioenergy, as well as participation in ENTSO-E makes it profitable for Ukrainians to invest in the development of green energy.
