Ukraine’s government has approved a procedure for using budget funds to support the information and organizational participation of Ukrainian businesses in international exhibitions. The instrument is aimed mainly at companies in the processing industry and their associations.
The support will work through compensation for expenses connected with participation in foreign sectoral exhibitions, provided the company joins a Ukrainian national or collective stand. For individual businesses, compensation can cover up to 70 percent of costs, while associations can receive up to full coverage.
Why exhibitions matter
For manufacturers, international exhibitions are more than marketing. They are a way to meet distributors, test demand, negotiate export contracts and show that Ukrainian production remains active despite war risks.
The list of exhibitions eligible for state support will be approved by the Ministry of Economy, Environment and Agriculture. This should help concentrate resources on events with real commercial value rather than scattered one-off participation.
Export promotion
The mechanism fits a broader export policy for Ukrainian processing companies. Many producers need contacts abroad, but travel, stand preparation and logistics can be expensive for small and medium businesses.
State co-financing does not guarantee contracts, but it lowers the entry barrier. If the program is administered transparently, it can help Ukrainian companies move from occasional foreign contacts to systematic export promotion.
