This season, Ukraine can harvest 100 million tons of grain and oilseeds, and the harvest of winter wheat, corn, sunflower, barley, and possibly soybeans is expected to grow. This was stated by Minister of Agrarian Policy Roman Leshchenko at a press conference, Interfax-Ukraine reports.
"If the amount of precipitation is at the level we see in May, then we will also have an increase in soybeans," the minister added.
According to him, the timely implementation of a set of spring fieldwork by farmers makes it possible to assess the volume of the harvest this season with "healthy optimism".
