The State Customs Service of Ukraine estimated that this is 24 times higher than the shipped volume for the same period in the previous season in physical terms (1.7 thousand tons) and 6 times - in monetary terms ($2.1 million).
According to the results of the first quarter of the season, Poland became the key importer of rye of Ukrainian origin. The country purchased 18.4 thousand tons of grain or 43% of the total shipped volume. The second position is occupied by Turkey, which imported 10.9 thousand tons of Ukrainian rye, or 26% of all consignments over the indicated period. It should be noted that grain shipments from Ukraine to Turkey resumed in September after a long break (since May 2009). Lithuania closes the TOP-3 importers of Ukrainian rye with a share of 13%, or 5.3 thousand tons in kind.
The analysts of APK-Inform agency calculations show that the export potential of rye in Ukraine in 2021/22 MY is estimated at 75 thousand tons (an increase of 4 times compared to 2020/21 MY) with the projected production of culture at the level of 586.6 thousand tons. tons (+ 28% to the result of the 2020/21 season). Thus, in the first three months of the season, it has already been implemented by 57%.
