Ukraine's metallurgical industry has seen a notable increase in the production and export of rolled metal during the first half of 2024, according to the Ukrmetalurgprom Association of Enterprises and the State Customs Service of Ukraine.

- In 2024, 592.4 thousand tons, or 34.12%, of the domestic market capacity was imported, up from 494.8 thousand tons, or 30.17%, in 2023.

- The primary export markets for Ukrainian rolled metal in January-June 2024 were the European Union (77.1%), the rest of Europe (6.9%), and Africa (6.4%).

- Other European countries led in metallurgical imports to Ukraine (46.5%), followed by the EU-27 (31.0%) and Asian countries (20.5%).
